IncontiLase is a highly effective non-surgical laser treatment. During the procedure, a special attachment, similar to a speculum used during a Pap test, is inserted into the vagina. Through this, the vaginal region is treated with short laser pulses. The photothermal heating affects collagen in both the vaginal walls and the urethra. This causes restructuring and regrowth of the collagen. The result is the thickening and tightening of the vaginal walls and urethra to prevent urine loss.
After IncontiLase treatment, you should notice a reduction in urinary incontinence, allowing you to enjoy everyday activities without interruption .
To better understand your needs and desires for IncontiLase, you’ll meet with our expert treatment providers, who will create a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals.
During your appointment, you will lie on the treatment table while our expert provider uses the specialized IncontiLase attachment along the anterior wall of the vagina. The device will then emit sublative laser pulses, which may cause incomfort, intense heat, or an itching sensation near the entrance of the vagina. This is temporary and generally well-tolerated.
Treatments last approximately 15 to 20 minutes. There’s no downtime associated with IncontiLase; you can return to your day as normal following treatment. Some patients may notice mild swelling and redness and a transparent discharge, but this subsides within two to three days. For two weeks after treatment, you should refrain from exercise and sex. For four weeks, avoid inserting a tampon.

Most patients only require one laser procedure to achieve optimal results. However, during your personalized assessment, our expert providers will determine how many treatments you may need. For IncontiLase, we recommend a post-treatment follow-up appointment to ensure you are experiencing the best results.
Some contraindications of IncontiLase include pregnancy, active infection, or a recent abnormal PAP smear. After completing and reviewing a medical screening questionnaire, specific contraindications will be discussed during your consultation to ensure you are a good candidate for this treatment.

While this procedure is safe, there are possible risks and complications. These will also be discussed during your consultation.
