Retail Sales Lead

Job description

The Retail Sales Lead is responsible for developing and executing skincare programs, initiatives, and strategies to optimize sales performance, foster brand acceptance, and drive revenue growth. The role requires a strategic thinker who can align national objectives with business development and sales strategies to position the organization as a premier skincare destination, leveraging foundational pillars and brand priorities.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and execute strategies aligned with national objectives to position the organization as a leading skincare destination, leveraging foundational pillars as a framework.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Revenue Growth to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic vision and priorities.

 

Sales Strategy & Performance

  • Drive product adoption and revenue growth through innovative sales strategies and upsell initiatives to increase average products per transaction.
  • Develop and implement a product attachment tactic to convert treatment-based patients into skincare customers, enhancing cross-selling opportunities.
  • Prepare and present monthly retail performance reviews, analyzing data, refining strategies, and aligning goals across teams.
  • Monitor sales performance at a per-location level and collaborate with Regional Directors to implement actionable plans addressing performance gaps.
  • Create and manage a sales event and promotional framework to drive engagement and boost revenue.
  • Ensure delivery of key performance indicators consistent with national strategies and brand objectives

 

Business Development

  • Design and implement the FNL-exclusive Retail Ambassador Program, partnering with select staff to amplify brand visibility, acceptance, and customer engagement.
  • Lead and manage supplier relationships with L’Oréal (SkinCeuticals) to enhance retail initiatives and meet strategic goals.
  • Oversee and execute sales activation initiatives and PR events in key locations, ensuring seamless alignment with brand strategy and objectives.
  • Conduct regular 1-on-1 business reviews with stakeholders to evaluate sales, revenue, and profitability performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities through trend analysis and insights into market development.

 

Sales Support & Training

  • Deliver sales and customer experience training programs to empower teams and improve execution.
  • Develop tools and strategies to enhance employee capabilities in upselling, driving sales, and improving customer experiences.

 

Reporting

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and revenue targets.

 

Collaboration & Relationship Building

  • Foster and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic objectives and maximize outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Teams to ensure seamless alignment and harmonization of the retail product plan with the overall brand strategy.

 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in sales strategy, business development, and relationship management, ideally within the medical aesthetics or skincare industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role, with a strong emphasis on sales performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Bilingual (English and French) with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to analyze trends and develop actionable plans to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with strong leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Must be willing to travel on a quarterly basis.
