DERMAPURE

Treatment and Technology

A dermapure physician treating a patient

IncontiLase is a highly effective non-surgical laser treatment. During the procedure, a special attachment, similar to a speculum used during a Pap test, is inserted into the vagina. Through this, the vaginal region is treated with short laser pulses. The photothermal heating affects collagen in both the vaginal walls and the urethra. This causes restructuring and regrowth of the collagen. The result is the thickening and tightening of the vaginal walls and urethra to prevent urine loss.

To better understand your needs and desires for IncontiLase, you’ll meet with our expert treatment providers, who will create a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals.

During your appointment, you will lie on the treatment table while our expert provider uses the specialized IncontiLase attachment along the anterior wall of the vagina. The device will then emit sublative laser pulses, which may cause incomfort, intense heat, or an itching sensation near the entrance of the vagina. This is temporary and generally well-tolerated.

Treatments last approximately 15 to 20 minutes. There’s no downtime associated with IncontiLase; you can return to your day as normal following treatment. Some patients may notice mild swelling and redness and a transparent discharge, but this subsides within two to three days. For two weeks after treatment, you should refrain from exercise and sex. For four weeks, avoid inserting a tampon.

    Reviews

Dermapure Chaparral is by far the best clinic I have visited and I will continue to have all procedures done there. The front desk staff are friendly and very welcoming, especially Daniel. My injector, Natasha is so kind, knowledgeable and remarkably good at her art. I really enjoy my visits because your team is top-notch!

Had the best experience here! I was very nervous at first, Sylvina did a great job in going over all the pros and cons and was super knowledgeable. I came out feeling beautiful and refreshed. Can’t wait to come back and see her again. :) 100% recommend her.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Prolonged periods of sustained exercise are not recommended for two weeks. For one month, avoid activities that increase pressure on the bladder and treatment area, such as heavy lifting.

Results vary from patient to patient. You should keep a diary before and after your treatment to record the instances and frequency of urine loss. The full result will take up to four months to develop.

The treatment in no way inhibits your ability to get pregnant or deliver children vaginally.

Patients with an existing sling in place can be treated safely should it fail and they begin leaking again.

No. It is best to time the treatment during the first phase of your menstrual cycle.

No. IntimaLase targets the entire circumference of the vaginal canal but will do little or nothing to correct Stress Urinary Incontinence. IncontiLase targets only the anterior wall of the vagina. It will result in some tightening of the vagina but not to the same degree that IntimaLase will.

While this procedure is safe, there are possible risks and complications. These will also be discussed during your consultation.
