The Plasma treatment uses the power of plasma energy to create thermal micro-lesions on the surface of the skin to trigger a contraction effect in the skin and stimulate collagen formation in the upper dermis. This non-invasive treatment, which is much like a non-surgical blepharoplasty, enhances the eyes by gently tightening and smoothing the skin of the eyelids and providing a rejuvenating lift effect.
*Complimentary consultations are offered by specialist skin care consultants.
Plasma gently retracts the skin of the eyelids and opens it to rejuvenate the look of your eyes. The resulting tightening effect makes this technology a great option for people with mild to moderate skin laxity or as a maintenance treatment following blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery).

Determining your needs is an essential step before undergoing treatment in our clinic. Several aspects are considered such as age, skin quality, genetics and expected results.
Taking pictures before the treatment allows you to visualize its effects and serves as a reference over time.
Thoroughly cleaning the eye area is an essential part of a Plasma session. A numbing cream is then applied to numb the skin and make the treatment more comfortable.
Removing the anesthetic gel and disinfecting the skin with an antiseptic solution creates a sterile canvas for the treatment to begin.
Start the treatment by positioning the pen precisely to create micro-lesions by approaching the pen to a few millimetres of the skin, but without ever touching it. During this step, a normal sensation of heat may be felt.
Complete the treatment by cleansing the treated area with an antiseptic solution and applying Functionalab’s Pro-Collagen Serum and Pre/Post-Treatment 2 Cream to ensure optimal healing. Each technology requires a specific follow-up and post-treatment procedure that will be carefully explained to you by our medical and technical team. These recommendations must be followed to the letter to allow the skin to heal properly. Bruising, swelling and redness can be expected for the first forty-eight to seventy-two hours following your treatment. Tiny crusts at the treatment sites will develop and take seven to ten days to fall off naturally. As with all our treatments, it is important to avoid the sun, makeup and scented products until the skin has healed and to protect your skin with a broad-spectrum sunscreen.

The treated area must be adequately protected from the sun for at least four to six weeks following treatment. Depending on the skin condition and objectives, two to three treatments, spaced four to eight weeks apart, may be suggested. A maintenance treatment is recommended every six months.
Pregnant women should postpone this type of treatment. Anyone with a heart condition cannot use Plasma. Other contraindications include Fitzpatrick skin types IV, V and VI, active herpes or shingles, skin disorders such as psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, and vitiligo as well as scarring.
The Plasma is used to correct sagging upper and lower eyelids.

Visit The Online StoreIf your eyelid skin is starting to sag (mild to moderate sagging), the tightening effect of Plasma can be an interesting alternative to blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). However, although Plasma is a very safe and effective treatment, it is not suitable for everyone. During your consultation, our team will perform a skin assessment and discuss your medical history and expectations to determine if Plasma is the right option for you.
Plasma creates micro-lesions on the surface of the skin that causes the skin to contract and stimulate collagen formation. This triggers the skin’s natural healing process, usually resulting in swelling and redness (and sometimes bruising) for the first two to three days. Tiny crusts will then form and gradually fall off over the next seven to ten days.
The level of pain varies depending on individual sensitivity, but the treatment is generally described as mildly uncomfortable. A topical anesthetic cream is applied prior to starting the treatment and our team will do everything possible to ensure your comfort.
As mentioned previously, the treatment area is likely to be swollen and red within forty-eight to seventy-two hours and tiny dot-like crusts will form and fall off within seven to ten days of treatment. Therefore, it is estimated that most Plasma treatments involve the possibility of social unavailability for five to seven days. However, these are only cosmetic concerns and there is no real downtime if they do not affect you and it is perfectly possible to resume a normal routine after your treatment, taking special care and protecting your treated skin from the sun.
The tightening effect is immediate, but it takes about four weeks before you see real results. Indeed, optimal results are generally visible when collagen production is stimulated during the skin’s healing process. This collagen production takes place over a period of four to twelve weeks after the treatment. The effects are therefore progressive and the results subtle and natural.
Depending on the degree of skin laxity, it is generally recommended to schedule two to three sessions, spaced four to eight weeks apart. The effects of Plasma are long-lasting but do not prevent subsequent natural sagging. Periodic maintenance over the years will help you maintain the results over time.
